Who we are

MyWebClarity is an independent website that checks unfamiliar websites, apps and online schemes and explains, in plain language, whether they look trustworthy. Our goal is simple: to help you know what you are dealing with before you click, sign up or share personal details.

Why we started

The internet is full of sites with confusing names, copycat domains and unclear ownership. Many people search “is this website legit?” and find only vague or one-line answers. We publish clear, structured reviews so that readers can make their own informed decision.

What we review

  • Websites, blogs and online magazines
  • Mobile apps and online platforms
  • Loan, earning and investment platforms
  • Look-alike sites for government schemes and portals
  • Shopping, deal and job websites

How we review

Every review looks at the same core signals, so that our verdicts are consistent and easy to compare:

  • Ownership and authors: Is it clear who runs the site? Are there named authors, an About page and working contact details?
  • Safety signals: Does the site use HTTPS? How heavy are ads, pop-ups and redirects? Is there anything that could put your data or device at risk?
  • Content quality: Is the information accurate, original and genuinely useful, or thin and copied?
  • Sources and transparency: Are claims backed by sources? Is the site honest about what it is and is not?
  • Name and brand confusion: Could the domain be mistaken for an official bank, app or government service?

What our verdicts mean

  • Legit: The site appears genuine and safe to browse based on the signals we checked.
  • Use caution: Some trust signals are missing, unclear or mixed. It may be fine for casual reading, but double-check anything important.
  • Avoid: We found serious warning signs and recommend staying away.

A verdict is our opinion, based on the information publicly available at the time of writing. Websites change, so always use your own judgement as well.

Editorial independence

We do not accept payment to publish a positive review or to change a verdict. MyWebClarity is supported by advertising, such as Google AdSense. Advertisers and partners have no influence over what we write or how we rate a site.
